Q&A

Where are you originally from? How long have you lived in Boise?
I’m originally from Sacramento, California, and have lived in Boise for 9 years with my wife and our three kids.

What made you become a cardiologist or electrophysiologist?
The physiology and complexity of cardiology interested me—there are four subspecialties for one organ. The technologies for diagnosis and ability to perform minimally invasive treatments was also intriguing. We can provide treatments that can drastically improve quality of life and in some cases cures. Electrophysiology as a sub specialty continues to improve and grow, finding novel ways to be successful and safe.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy watching sports, spending time with my kids and wife and coaching baseball for my sons. Our new Golden Retriever puppy has been a fun addition to our family, keeping us busy with training and walks. We also enjoy traveling to national parks—we’ve visited 26 and counting!
