Our story

After working in healthcare for 20 years, our president and co-founder Daniel Noonan got to know the ins and outs of how big healthcare organizations run. He saw a lot of room for improvement. This included how patients, providers, and staff are valued as well as the need for more competition and choice, less administrative bulk, and a greater focus on patients and their caregivers. At the same time, he saw healthcare costs rising steadily. All together, these signs pointed to the real need for change.

Founding partners Dr. Costello, Dr. Hinchman, and Dr. Mozes shared his concerns and his drive to make things better. The team brainstormed ways to prioritize the needs of patients and medical staff and how to make sure doctors and patients could give and receive the best care possible. They also had conversations with other doctors, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, administrators, and staff. It became clear that the best way to provide top-notch care would be to start a new, independent cardiovascular group. This group would be crafted with care and dedication, focusing on the details of modern cardiology.

Together Drs. Costello, Hinchman, Mozes, and Noonan founded High Desert Heart & Vascular and created the Heart & Vascular Department at Treasure Valley Hospital, the top-rated hospital in Idaho. The cardiology practice and hospital department are designed with a clear goal: put patients and providers first. They offer a healthcare experience that respects and values everyone's needs and roles in the system and pioneer a more affordable way to deliver healthcare to the community.
